LA CANCION:

"Otra Ciudad, Otro Tren" es el sexto sencillo de ABBA y el segundo sencillo emitido en formato de registro 12" vinilo en 1973 para promover su primer álbum Ring Ring. El lado B del sencillo presentaba el tema "Banda De Rock'n' Roll", que acompaño a otros sencillos de esa época durante los primeros pasos de ABBA.

El tema fue escrito por los dos creadores de ABBA, Benny Andersson y Björn Ulvaeus, y producido por el ingeniero musical Michael B. Tretow, utilizando su "sistema de sonido de pared" característico de ABBA.

Mientras el primer tema de corte Country cuenta la historia de una pareja que ve el fin de su relación y que deben buscar otra ciudad, otro tren para seguir con sus caminos separados, lejos del desamor y llenos de incertidumbre; La segunda plaza nos muestra una canción de tipo Rock, ligera y sonora con aplicación de sintetizadores, sobre un miembro de una banda de Rock'n'Roll que se enamora de una chica y que desea dejar todo por ella, incluso su banda de música.

Los dos hombres del grupo comparten las voces principales, junto a las armoniosas voces de fondo de Agnetha y Frida.

El sencillo alcanzó rápidamente las cabezas de los charts en países como Austria, Alemania, Suecia y Japón. También fue liberado como un sencillo en la compañía Playboy Records en EE.UU. como una continuación al golpe menor que generó el primer sencillo, "La Gente Necesita Amor" en el mercado estadounidense.

"Otra Ciudad, Otro Tren" Fue registrada en idioma alemán bajo el título "Wer Im Wartesaal Der Liebe Steht" con la lírica escrita por Fred Jay, y acompañado a la vez, como su Lado B, por la versión alemana del hit "Ring Ring".

Con la lírica en sueco tuvieron gran suerte, "En Annan Stad, En Annan Vän", aunque esta version no se incluyo en ningun sencillo o album de ABBA, sí fue versionada por el grupo Schytts en 1974 y por Kikki Danielsson en 1991.
